candio. is an artist/writer/activist from Buffalo NY who now lives in Olympia, WA. She has exhibited at the Albright Knox Art Gallery, Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. She is collected internationally and currently maintains a feminist street art sticker network.

candio. writes long-form investigative reporting on Substack, covering homeless response, the Olympia School Board, local events, and gender ideology.

Her YouTube channel features clips from school board meetings as well as protest events. She received international coverage for her footage of the #LetWomenSpeak event in Tacoma as well as #LetJulie Swim in Port Townsend, WA.

In her spare time, candio. is an autodidact who has read over 3200 books since 1998. She is attempting to read all 53 volumes of Balzac’s La Comedie Humaine.

Mercer also plays exceedingly difficult strategy board games for fun. She has playtested several prominent releases for Stonemaier Games, including Scythe Rise of Fenris, Euphoria and Rolling Reams.
